Minister Nduhungirehe leads high-level delegation to Oman

Muscat, 11 January 2026 - Minister Olivier Nduhungirehe led a delegation of senior government officials to Muscat for an official visit to the Sultanate of Oman from 12 January 2026.

During the visit, he held bilateral talks with H.E. Badr Albusaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Oman. Discussions focused on strengthening cooperation in priority sectors of mutual interest.

As part of the visit, Rwanda and Oman signed four Memoranda of Understanding covering:

  1. Logistics services, including inland port development and supply chain operations;

  2. Aviation, including the operationalisation of direct Muscat–Kigali flights with Oman Air starting in June;

  3. Investment and infrastructure development around the Bugesera Airport District;

  4. ICT and Innovation, covering data hosting, cloud services, and data centre development.
